Overview: Pioneer’s Audition dock is intended to appeal to the music enthusiast–someone who is looking for real impressive sound well beyond what the 0 iPod docks are producing. This dock doesn’t have the extra bells and whistles that the small desk docks / alarm clock docks offer, but it provides unmatched sound quality with its robust, built-in subwoofer.

The Best Features: This dock provides standard composite video output (yellow only) as well as the higher quality component output (Red, Green, Blue) allowing you to watch video from your iPod on your television or monitor. It also has a stereo mini jack audio input (allowing you to connect a non-iPod audio source to the dock.) It provides a nice snug fit for your iPod touch or iPhone without causing the annoying error message “This accessory was not designed for iPhone.” You can also plug in older generation iPods such as an iPod Video or Nano. The remote allows you to perform basic functions such as turning the dock on/off, navigating your music library, pausing and playing music and adjusting the volume. You can also manually control the volume from the top of the dock.

The Sound Quality: The sound quality is outstanding. The deep bass tones are clear and undistorted providing an excellent mix. This dock provides a much richer sound than the popular 0 price range docks.

The Cons: Unfortunately, this dock has a large footprint and therefore requires a fairly large home on your bookshelf or audio cabinet. It would not fit comfortably on the average nightstand, desk or dresser. The remote must be pointed directly at the front of the dock in order to function; it doesn’t work well from side angles. Unfortunately, it’s a great deal more expensive than some of the other nice, multi-featured docks on the market. This dock doesn’t have any way to adjust EQ settings, bass/treble balance or a sleep/timer mode. For the price, you might expect to have a few more customization options. Truly, this dock is intended to provide great sound from your iPod but nothing more.

Overall: I would highly recommend this dock for music enthusiasts or individuals looking to replace speakers in their main entertainment room. It provides outstanding sound and multi-generation iPod compatibility.

Very Exciting – Olivia –
It is very powerful – sits in a corner and fills three large rooms without a problem.
Great sound quality – I tested classical, vocal, rock, instrumental… All very good. One little complaint, some of the old broadway songs seem to come up with very strong vocals. They are clear and all, but I wish I could turn up the background music better.
It looks great.
It works with both Iphone 3 and Iphone 4.

Let me start by saying, this produces excellent sound. Let there be no mistake that you will enjoy listening to music with this dock. The remote is simple, but handy (although I still don’t understand the point of the “holder”). It looks nice and does what it is meant to do well.

My only problem was the Bluetooth adapter. I never could get my iPod Touch to find it, no matter what I tried. Perhaps a different device would have better luck, but after many unsuccesful tries, I packed it back in the box and went back to docking normally. If you intended to use this with non-i* devices, you may want to hang on to the packaging and receipt until you’re sure the Bluetooth (an optional accessory not included with the dock itself) syncs with your device.

I thought I had an ok sound system with my old iPod/iPhone dock, but once I heard this gorgeous machine play music, I had to toss the other one immediately. The sound was crisp and detailed, handling bass beautifully. I listen to a wide range of genres, and they all sounded marvelous–from classical and orchestral to hip-hop, world, and acoustic. The latter was particularly moving when I played a slow middle eastern violin piece–you could hear the clothing of the violinist move with the strokes, and occasionally hear him inhale a breath; it added such depth to the experience of the music, I was captivated. This sound system is of high quality and, as intended, works well with iPhones and iPods (the iPhone does not have to go into airplane mode, by the way, so you can still receive calls; also, it charges the device).
The docking station also has a lovely aesthetic–sleek black, unobtrusive size, small easy-to-use remote. GREAT product!!

I have been using this unit for about a month now. I have it in my lower family room (finished basement) in an open area about 1000 square feet. I already have a 7.1 surround system hooked up with a 1080p video projector, so I use this device for parties when I just want music. I have not hooked it up to a video source, which it can do with composite video outputs.
Design: The design is your basic black, with professional looking glossy black finish. The speakers are forward facing behind a grill. The construction and feel exude high quality.
Setup: I have an advanced degree in engineering, but still had to refer to the instructions to set up my iPhone to operate the unit. My sticking point was that I could not find the red light on the front of the unit, then discovered it is behind the speaker screen, requiring you to look directly at the unit from the front to see it. This light flashes to supposedly tell you whether you are using the dock, video output, bluetooth, or auxiliary input, but there is no way to tell which one you are in, so you just switch until what you want comes out.
Sound quality: The sound quality is very good and fills my family room with excellent quality sound.
Remote control: The unit comes with a basic remote to control sound level, power, pause, skip.
Bluetooth adapter: For this price, the bluetooth adapter should come with or built in. It is essential in my view. I was able to pair my iPhone with the unit and play anything from my iTunes library through the unit. Since bluetooth range is limited, if you are having a party and using this unit, you cannot leave the area without the music stopping unless you leave your phone behind. You must re-pair the unit each time. However, if you are simply sitting anywhere in range, it is easy to control what music plays. A minus is that Panasonic does not allow you to control the sound on the unit with your iPhone or iPod. I recommend you use the supplied remote to turn up the sound on the unit, and then control the sound output of your songs using your iPhone or iPod.
The auxiliary input is VERY interesting, in that you could potentially use this unit to replace the poor built-in speakers on your flat screen tv with this device. I haven’t tried it, but I bet the sound improvement would be very noticeable.

The disk actually worked better than the original. I use it to replace the navigation mount for my Droid. I stopped by the Verizon store to purchase one but was told they don’t sell them and I was able find it at Amazon. If you was wondering what this product is, well it is the disk that sticks to the dash and permits you to use the suction cup that is on the holder for any GPS and cell phones.

Ordered this on a Friday, August 20, 2010 and already received it on Monday, August 23, 2010. Exactly what I wanted for my Garmin 265WT. Original disk would not stick. Needed 1 for my car and another for my son’s car. Great buy and great service.

I ordered 2 of these disks, mounted one in my car dashboard, and it’s been working great ever since.

Big disappointment. – Nom de Plum –
The disks weren’t worth the costs and time. They were a complete waste of time. Even before cleaning the dash, then using the alcohol pad to clean it more and then wait to let it dry and then applying the disks, there wasn’t enough glue to hold it in place to hold the Garmin. Twice I tried it, following the instructions both times. Now, I know why this product was so much cheaper than the one actually sold by Garmin. Hard lesson learned.

Didn’t stick to my dashboard – William Gundlach –
I cleaned the dashboard with the alcohol pad and then firmly pressed the disk to my dashboard for about 5 minutes. It came off in about an hour and then had no stickiness to it. I tried it with the second disk and same problem.

Believe this is the cheapest most portable awesome video camera ive ever seen!
Good things:
-It records very smooth on 720p 60 FPS, others are fine but not as smooth.
-Very Portable and durable(had in my pocket with keys and many things.. im a packrat…) it had very small scratches on it and still survives!
-Water recording, omfg just like….. turn the sound down a bit on the mic settings and its perfect lol it is very loud!
-Image stability, havent tested it… but it cuts out jagged edges within lots of movement in my videos(i cant notice it)
-Very good in adjusting the settings in bright areas to make it see what it needs
-Takes very awesome pictures at 5MP!
-Takes my 16GB SDHC class 6 memory card from my other camera!

Bad things:
-1080p&720p 60 fps take up the same space.
-1080p&720p @ 30fps seem slow compared to 60 fps.
-Water resistance needs to be upped so people can take it in the ocean!(just giving clues of what might be next on cheap camera lines)
-In darkened areas pictures and video are horrible(well really dark places like a haunted house related areas)
-Doesnt come with a SD/SDHC card!

  i received the first one just in time for a motorcycle trip to Montana. Worked great for about a day and then it would not power on or charge. Contacted Amazon, who’s service is excellent by the way, and they sent me a replacement. I never really used the replacement until a week or so after i got it. I played with a bit and once again, it would not power up or charge. This one is going back and I am going to another brand. By the way i never use it in water.

The little wire attachment at the end came off my unit rather quickly. This is important for me because with it attached to my key ring there iw less likely to loose. The Franklin BES-2150 works as advertised. Very compact and portable. After researching similar products, this seems the best in terms of portability and features. I would like the next iteration to have a manual backlite feature that I could turn on and off so I could use it in low-lite environments.

So-so for the cost – SP – Dallas, TX USA
I haven’t used the translator a lot yet–just on a recent brief trip to Mexico. The main disappointment is the lack of ability to look up phrases, and the inability to translate whole phrases rather than single words. For example, I typed in “que pasa” and it didn’t find it. Same with “mucho gusto” and “como estas” (I tried both in the dictionary and the search in the phrases section). So far, it appears this will work well if you want a dictionary, but not as a translator. Pretty expensive replacement for a pocket dictionary though.

The Franklin BES-2150 was a big disappointment.I found that there many Spanish words that were not available and I had to look them up in my pocket dictionary.
The Spanish phrases are spoken unclearly.Word by word is OK.The display is difficult to read under most lighting conditions.The instructions are difficult to follow and are poorly written.
